This first in a series of lectures on understanding and appreciating Italian Renaissance Painting will focus on the elements of drawing and design in the production of the Italian Renaissance painting. Masterworks of various artists will be shown with many examples to offer the attendee to see how line, drawing, and design are essential elements of any great artwork.
This series of lectures presented by Professor John Coppola, MFA, MA will study and discuss the life, career, and unique aesthetics of some of the greatest Italian Artists from the Renaissance to the contemporary age. Light reception will precede the lecture at 6:30pm. All lectures will begin promptly at 7:00pm.
